THE ELEMENT OF WATER…
in the region Zell am See – Kaprun / Piesendorf
The basis of life also accompanies you during your vacation. Whether ice on the Kitzsteinhorn glacier or snow on our slopes, but especially in summer in Lake Zell or in the Niedernsill bathing lake. The topic of water and swimming is always part of your vacation.
THE ZELLER LAKE
You can explore the region from the water while swimming, sailing and surfing. Nowhere can you enjoy better views of nature and the mountains than from the middle of the lake. In summer, have a great time in the beaches of Zell am See, in the Hinkelsteinbad or in the Niedernsiller bathing lake. From there you can go on boat tours, sailing trips or swim in the lake.
Private, motorized boats are not allowed on Lake Zell – this is how we preserve its drinking water quality.
SWIMMING LAKE NIERDENSILL
The idyllic natural swimming lake with its spacious lawns is THE attraction for water lovers of all ages. The little ones can let off steam in the heated children’s paddling pool or in the separate non-swimmer area with a water slide. The bathing complex with a water area of 16,000 m² and a lying area of 15,000 m² is very idyllic and quiet. The water temperature in summer is around 23°C.
Directly adjacent is the protected landscape area “Luzialacke” and the leisure center.
Guests of our house have free entry.
HINKELSTEINBAD PIESENDORF
The pool, which is always at a pleasant temperature, has a lot in store for water lovers and sun worshipers: various pools, water slide, water mushroom, boccia court, pit-pat, children’s playground, buffet with viewing terrace and view over the wide Salzach Valley. There’s really no way around it.
The Hinkelsteinbad is right next to the FunPark.
Guests of our house have free entry.
KRIMMLER WATERFALL
Three falls with a height of over 380 m drop 5.6 cubic meters of water into the valley every second.
The refreshing drizzle of the Krimml Waterfalls amidst the fantastic backdrop of the Hohe Tauern National Park delights young and old alike. Everything you need to know about the waterfalls can be found at the information point at the entrance to the waterfalls.
HOCHGEBIRGSSTAUSEEN
The Kaprun high mountain reservoirs with their two reservoirs, Wasserfallboden and Mooserboden, at around 2,040 meters above sea level combine technology and nature.
The two lakes lie like two fjords in the rear Kaprun valley. Nestled between the three-thousander peaks of the Alps, on the border with the Hohe Tauern National Park. A myth was once created here in the post-war period, which can still be traced. The Electricity Experience World presents the history and challenges of the building in two languages, as well as the diversity of the Hohe Tauern National Park and the overwhelming technical achievements that were realized here in the middle of the Alps.
Here the power of water and the possibilities of generating electricity from hydropower are conveyed up close. The adventure play stations in the “Electricity Trail” are especially designed for families to introduce the topic of water power and energy generation in a playful way.
