OFF TO THE MOUNTAINS
From easier hikes to varied hiking trails to challenging summit tours, everything is there – or you can just go. Everyone is sure to find their favorite tour here.
The local mountain “Maiskogel” offers a good start for a few hiking tours. Zell’s local mountain, the “Schmitten”, is also waiting to be climbed. You can enjoy the view of our beautiful landscape wonderfully.
Our neighboring glacier, which you can easily observe from our apartments, offers a little more experience. In the glacier world of the Kitzsteinhorn you can feel the fresh mountain air of the Hohe Tauern. On guided tours you can also climb the first 3,000m peak.

OUR HUTS
When the meadows high above the valley floor shine lush green, the last snow fields have melted and the clear mountain air is filled with the buzzing of insects and the ringing of bells, the Salzburg alpine summer begins. The dairymen move into their rustic alpine huts to look after the cows, sheep and goats during the summer months. Numerous festivals accompany the Alpine summer with musical and culinary specialties.
